My expertise

My name is Mélanie, I live in Les Landes and I'm very passionate about creative hobbies. I've always had a deep affection for working with paper, a material that offers endless possibilities.

My creative adventure took a decisive turn when, by pure chance, I discovered Indian and Nepalese (Lokta) papers. It was a real visual and tactile love at first sight. Since then, these handmade papers with their unique textures and vibrant patterns have become the essential foundation of my work.

In my workshop in Les Landes, each sheet is carefully selected, cut, shaped, and assembled. To ensure the durability and beauty of my jewelry, I resin each piece in several layers. This meticulous process provides a glossy, resistant, and elegant finish, while preserving the lightness of the material.

Each piece of jewelry is paired with quality materials: I primarily work with ear hooks made of gold-filled or stainless steel, ensuring comfort, safety, and longevity.

Thus, each Mahanès creation is a light and original piece that celebrates both the cultural richness of Asia and my French artisanal savoir-faire.
